Essie manicurists were given the brief of superheroes for this look. Phillip sketched a design and the nail pros got busy applying Liquorice (black) over the entire nail, before taking Chinchilli (taupe) and Blanc (white) down the edges of each nail for a shadowed, ‘cartoon’ effect.

The Essie manicurists mixed Wicked with a Cherry Top Colour Enhancer to boost the colour. The inspiration for the look was ’1940′s, old Hollywood meets new.’ The finish was super shiny and matched the dark lip, as created by the Laura Mercier Make-Up team. Things are looking deep and dark for a/w 2012 ladies.
