Tomorrow, I’ll be escaping the Big Smoke and heading on a little jaunt down to Kilver Court Designer Village. The plan is to tick off the Christmas shopping list in one fell swoop: Orla Kiely for Mum? Check. Jack Wills for Bro? Check. Links bracelet for Sis? Check. Margaret Howell for…. Me. CHECK.
And because no-one can shop on an empty stomach, I’ve booked in for lunch at a rather fabulous new pop-up called Stage 1, brainchild of Mulberry founder Roger Saul. Aside from the food (which is organic and delish) the interior of the restaurant is designed using a salvaged film set – featuring the railway scene from Le Train Bleu – and recycled props, meaning you can quite literally ‘dine on set.’ Très chic don’t you think?
