Spending most of London Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013 in a conical bra and kitten heels on the set of ITV’s Endeavour, my brief forays into the Somerset House maelstrom were rather snatched. That said, I did manage to make it to the closing Fashion Fringe show, a competition for young fashion designers judged by Burberry’s very own Christopher Bailey. With Haizhen Wang’s models parading down the runway in black panelled armour dresses whilst Vita Gottlieb’s brocaded frills added some feisty femininity to the whole affair, this was a fitting end to a punchy week which I mainly caught up with on my Blackberry.
With everyone now Eurostarring it to Paris (I can just IMAGINE them sipping hot chocolate in St Germain’s gilt encrusted Laduree!?) thought I’d offer up a few beauty finds. First up a new range of skin care by ‘Malvina’ whose Firming Face Serum uses plant cell stems to add some serious zest to your face. Particularly great before make-up in the morning, when you wake up with a still visible pillow imprint! Another is the rather dashing Dr Favaro‘s twenty minutes peroxide-free ‘Megawhite’ teeth whitening which made my teeth look like they had never seen a double shot caramel macchiato. Perfect for a mini revamp before the fash pack hit London again…tired and having consumed far too many rose macaroons…
